Deirdre Murphy works in the Litigation Department of G J Moloney. Deirdre is also qualified as a solicitor in England and Wales (non-practicing). Deirdre practices in the firm’s general litigation and dispute resolution department specialising in the areas of debt collection from Demand to Judgment at District, Circuit and High Court levels for large financial institutions and in cross jurisdictional enforcement of both contentious and non-contentious matters.
Over the years Deirdre has dealt with receivers and with financial institutions in possession cases at Circuit and High Court levels and in reviewing security documentation. She attends the County Registrar and Judge’s list for Banks in the Repossession Court on a regular basis. She also works on insolvency matters for Creditors and attends the Insolvency Court on a regular basis from initial objection to hearing. Deirdre also specialises in personal injuries claims for both Plaintiffs and Defendants and has settled a number of claims for a large bodies and Insurance firms in contentious matters at Circuit Court and particularly at High Court level. Deirdre also deals with issues between Landlords and Tenants from drafting Tenancy Agreements to successful claims for monies due to Landlords and in the ejectment of Tenants as required. She also has experience in the provision of legal advice to Local Councils and private individuals and businesses. Deirdre also has a special interest in Data protection. She holds a Law and German Degree, a LLB, LLM and LLM in E-Commerce Law from University College Cork.
